Sister Maria de Guadalupe

Sister Maria de Guadalupe Rodrigo joined the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word when she was 18 in Argentina. Knowing she would be sent anyplace on earth on mission, she was offered the Middle East. After several years of ministry in the Holy Land and Egypt, and with her health deteriorating due to exhaustion, her superiors suggested a tranquil place to recover. In 2011 she chose to serve in Aleppo, Syria, where later that year the war broke out.
